Wanted: League Administrator

 

GVSA is looking for a Part Time League Administrator. Currently, the position requires at least 20 hours a week, phone and email access daily during soccer season and between 9-5 Mon-Fri during off-season, and a heart that desires to serve the GVSA Community. They will also act as the main Liaison between the GVSA Board and our Clubs and will function in the following capacities at the direction of the Board of Directors: 

League Commissioner

• Notify Clubs and Disciplinary Chair of Red Cards, Spectator, and/or Coach Problems

• Respond to questions from Clubs

• Award Forfeits

• Prepare a Monthly report for the Board of Directors

• Plan Agenda and Distribute in advance of all Meetings

• Attend Board Meetings and AGM

• Communicate with MSPSL and MSYSA

• File required Annual Paperwork with MSYSA

 League Scheduler

• Process and Manage Field Availability

• Create Divisions with Club Input

• Attend Elite Scheduling Meetings

• Create and Publish Schedules for each Season

• Enter all Game Scheduling Changes

• Keep in contact with Registration Administrator

• Interact Professionally with Clubs in a Patient and Timely Manner

• Other tasks and responsibilities may also be added to this position

 The Preferred Candidate must have the following: 

  • A background in Youth Soccer, preferably with GVSA, and a familiarity with our Rules and By Laws.
  • Must have a general understanding of Computers, use of email, the GVSA website, and DOS Window Applications.
  • Basic Accounting and Bookkeeping functions.
  • The patience and ability to interact well with Club Members in person, on the phone, and in email correspondence.
  • Is well organized, able to meet deadlines, and put together Reports and Agendas.
  • Ability to plan and organize our Annual General Meeting
  • A passion for making GVSA the best run Soccer League in Michigan and to provide our Members with the Service and Support they require.
