Northville Premier Evolves as Michigan Rush!

Northville Soccer Association is pleased to announce it’s partnership with Rush Soccer! Rush Soccer is a nationally recognized youth soccer organization, which began in Colorado, and has expanded with 15 branches in 14 states. Rush Soccer is led by CEO, and U-20 Women’s National Team coach, Tim Schulz. We have embraced the Rush motto, “Where the trails of passion and purpose meet, begins the path to victory.” The Rush offers a comprehensive and progressive training program for the serious soccer athlete.

Rush Soccer is excited to announce a new branch for 2006, the Michigan Rush. Northville Soccer Assn announces a partnership with Rush Soccer to become Michigan Rush. In addition, the Starlights and Fusion teams from the Downriver Youth Soccer League are now hosting Michigan Rush as the South Chapter.

Our objective with our partnerships with Michigan Rush is to provide a higher level of competition for the elite athletes of both organizations. The top athletes from the U-13 and older ages will be brought together to play for Rush Nike premier teams. Players who compete on Rush select teams will remain in their respective geographic areas.

  Our aim is to prepare players for the highest levels of the sport, from our ODP system to our national teams, college soccer, and professional soccer. We feel our staff and the Rush program will provide the necessary tools to give our players the best soccer experience in Michigan!

 As part of the Michigan Rush, our members may expect to receive some of the following benefits:

• The establishment of immediate club identity. Through the licensing of the Rush name and trademarks, partner Clubs immediately gain national recognition and prestige. The licensing of the name and trademarks to qualified affiliates strengthens the brand itself by increasing exposure within the soccer world.

• Efficiencies through economy of scale.  Multiple clubs represented by a central corporate headquarters entity may enjoy the benefits of unified activities. National sponsorships, public relations and marketing, coach and player recruiting, uniform and equipment purchases, etc. will be accomplished more efficiently through the management of a single centralized organization.

• Participation in multiple types of exchanges.  Transferring talent between Branch Chapters will be enhanced by the ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each club through the familiarity that affiliates share.

• Access to Rush Soccer intellectual properties.  Developed over several years dating back prior to the formation of the Club, these properties are the cornerstone of "The Rush Way" philosophy and represent a proven commodity in the development of elite soccer organizations.

• Preferred licenses proprietary information technology and trademark/ name usage.  Technical and administrative consulting Supported by the exchange of intellectual properties, Colorado Rush personnel could be made available to partner clubs for both coaching and administrative consulting. Rush soccer coaches and staff members retain a wealth of proven experience and training that can help accelerate a partner's growth and development. Rush Soccer's record of recruiting, certifying and utilizing the best youth soccer coaches in the state and country is perhaps our strongest and most important asset. The Rush coaching staff has been instrumental in achieving the national prominence that Rush Soccer has enjoyed.

 The Club strives to develop the skills, knowledge, character, and love of the game for all players to their utmost potential.  The Club's mission is to foster a supportive, challenging, and fun environment in which each player can grow and prosper as athletes but also ultimately as young adults.  Rush’s professional coaching staff has developed a comprehensive competitive program designed for athletes to play in an environment matched to their abilities and desires.

 The Club's overriding philosophy is based on the belief that team sports help develop the talents and skills that children will use throughout their lives.  Although winning is a component of any sport-related activity, the Club seeks to develop the virtues of sportsmanship, physical fitness, and a positive self image.

 Commitment to the Club involves a dedication of a significant amount of time and effort; however, in no case should it overshadow the importance of academic achievement.  The pursuit of excellence in school is imperative.  The Club promotes high academic standards and expects its players to effectively balance their time so as to ensure excellence off the field, as well as on it.

 The Rush offers a comprehensive and progressive training program for the serious soccer athlete. Our aim is to prepare players for the highest levels within the sport: ODP, college, National Team, and professional soccer.  Our emphasis is on long term player growth.  The players are given a foundation for the game on which they can improve and develop and are instructed in a team system and environment where the individual can shine and flourish.

 In summary, the success of Rush Soccer will be determined by the success of each and every Club, Program, Team, and Individual representing the Rush.
