Capital Area Soccer League
CASL
is a select league (affiliated with MSYSA) based in the Lansing,
Michigan area. Started in 1982, it has remained a fairly
consistent size with little or no growth because of the BYLAWS.
It will typically contain 120-130 teams. Clubs are limited
to the public school boundaries for the player base. This
limitation has restricted the growth of soccer in the central Michigan
since the number of clubs is limited to the number of schools
and club size is limited by the population of the school system.
