no there is no need. the harder u go at it the less it hurts you. just get your positioning right and give everthing. plus painkillers wont do anything if u have no pain and may actually build up tolerance and induce headaches so i would stay away. WARM UP PROPERLY
If you need to take pain killers, you shouldb't be on the field. If you are going to take them when not injured, see a doctor!
