Andy Robinson has resigned as Scotland boss: Are you suprised?

And have you seen an improvement in Scotland since he took up the post?

I'm a Welshman, and I quite liked Andy Robinson. I genuinely believe he was 100% committed to the Scottish team. I think the main legacy of Andy will be the promising new players he's brought on - in his tenure he's enlisted Richie Gray, Tim Visser, Stuart Hogg, Greg Laidlaw and others. They've won 3 out of the last 13 tests though, so by results, he's done poorly. I don't believe the players have stood up to the mark. I think the same about our Rob Howley. For some reason he doesn't seem a credible coach - for me it must be the fact that he was playing for Wales in the dark days when Welsh rugby was absolutely dire. What gives him the background or credentials to become their leader? The head coach above all, needs to be credible.

Not surprise the run of bad results for Scotland shows how poor his decisions were, however he wasnt as bad as most people think he was fully commited to the Scotland team, however i think SRU was looking for a scapegoat with the latest results and Robinson was an easy target. Scotland are 10th in the rankings and didnt qualify for the world cup quarter finals which simply isnt good enough, its not a lack of talent in the scottish players cuz scotland has and will continue to produce a line of world class players, did you know that Scotland actually have won the most 5 nations Grand slams, so that just proves its not a case of scotland producing bad players. Robinson had to go the results he produced wasnt good enough, but was it the right decision with the 6 nations right around the corner? we will just have to see how well they get on, CMON SCOTLAND
