Could someone explain me why Conor Murray got a yellow card yesterday (Ireland v Wales)?

Thanks!

He was the the unfortunate one to be picked out.....the ref had already warned the irish team about slowing down the ball. Even though Murray's foul wasn't enough to normally draw a yellow card, the ref is perfectly entitled to pick a player to sin bin if the team are repeating the same minor foul after being warned.

I assume he was the Irish player who fell on top of Faletau when he grounded the ball at the base of the post? If it was him the ref has deemed that to be a tackle so it was for deliberately slowing the ball down from being recycled on the ground. Once the tackle is made the tackler has to release the tackled player to enable him to recycle the ball, and must get back on his feet before attempting to put hands on the ball.

For slowing the ball. Why a yellow card wasn't issued to the Welsh player who blatantly slowed play and had hands in, when Ireland were 3 metres from the Welsh line is know only to the inimitable Romain Poite! Having watched it again: in from the side.

he feels giddy
