Contacting the coaching staff at McMaster, and letting them know something about your background and experience certainly couldn't hurt. You'd better act quickly though, as they will probably start training in about six weeks. I'd also suggest contacting Hamilton Hornets, which is the local amateur club in the McMaster area.
