Oz Tag or Ripper Rugby is indeed similar to rugby but slightly different. The goals are the same to score as many points or tries as the opposition with the defending team trying to prevent this by removing a "tag" that each player has. A "tag" is a small piece of cloth on each side of a persons waist which you have remove for them to stop and pass the ball. The attacking team has six plays or tags to try and score a try or promote the ball down field as close to the line as possible.
