How to punt a rugby ball?

Hello, I play Fullback. I would like some tips on punting a rugby ball. Techniques/Methods/Sites/Videos would be great. Thanks!

Ok so hold the ball as low as you can towards your feet. Drop the ball, do not throw it up and then kick (some people do this) Kick on the long surface of the rugby ball, with the front of your foot from the toes to the end of the shin. Next make sure when you kick it, don't hit the ball, hit THROUGH it, hit passed the ball for more power. Follow through with your leg pointing to the desired target. With enough practice you'll end up kicking great. Remember to try other kicks like, chip kicks, bomb kicks, box kicks, grubbed kicks, banana kicks, drop kicks. There are so many variations. Also since you are playing fullback, run the ball and step and use speed. Make sure to watch a lot of fullback clips on YouTube and TV to get a good idea on how they play and how to play like them. Trust me I watch a lot and it's really helped me. Watch tributes or videos of people like, Francois Steyn (He is a monster kicker), Leigh Halpenny, Rob Kearney, and Israel Dagg is very good too.

the main teqnique is to keep your head over the ball leaning forward, holding the ball tip pointing forward 45 degrees from the ground and hit the back point of the ball. make sure to follow through.

Hey I play wing and I am pretty average at kicking but here goes.. 1.hold the ball at about waist height 2.place the ball at a 45 degree angle pointing down to the left for a right footer and vise versa for a left footer 3.there are some helpful videos on you tube as well just look up "how to punt a rugby ball" and you'll be sweet, hope I could help and good luck with the season! :))
