I'm in the under 19s at Hull FC (rugby league), and the fact of the matter is that if you are good enough, you will be picked up - it's as simple as that. I started playing for a local club when I was 5, and by the time I reached 13-14 years of age I was playing for both my club, my school and my town team (Hull KR) funnily enough, in the same week, as well as training. When I reached 16, and was signed on for the service area at Hull, and am still playing here at 18. The best advice I can give you is to train hard, and playing consistently well. Without meaning to sound harsh, if you haven't been picked up by 16, you will struggle. All the best anyway. Source(s):
