Whatever happened to Danny Cipriani?

why does he not play for England anymore

He wound up his two-year contract with Melbourne at the end of the last Super-15 season and signed a three year deal with Sale Sharks in the English Premiership. He had trouble cracking the starting line-up with them early in the season, but has since steadied and claimed the regular #10 jersey. Sale had been doing significantly better since Cipriani (somewhat) got his act together in mid-season. Because he was playing in Australia, he hasn't been available for England over the past few years. As things turned out the emergence of Owen Farrel has meant that -- barring some serious injuries to Farrel and Flood and maybe some others -- there is probably no longer a spot on the England squad for him.

Unfortunately he's now playing for Sale Sharks, my team, and though his place kicking is good, the rest of his play leaves a lot to be desired. On the other hand, he is bonking Kelly Brook, lucky devil, probably why he has no energy left to make tackles.

I know he was part of the Melbourne Rebels super rugby team from 2011-12 until being let out of his contract with them. I don't know what hes doing now -- possibly playing club rugby in the UK, I doubt if England needs him anymore. His commitment and loyalty to the Rebels was questionable from the start e.g breaking no drinking curfews the nite before a game while his rugby skills were rather second rate for them anyway.
