Is rugby city centre a good area to live for family?

Hi, we are a family with young kids. We are thinking of relocating to rugby for its good rail link to London. I read some forums which highly recommends bilton and hilmorton vilage. But if possible I prefer to live somewhere within walking distance to the railway station, say I mile radius of the station, is there any good area within that compound? Most forums I read say that those terrace by the station are to be avoided. What about in the town centre? We saw a house for sale in Lancaster road and some in Murray road. Are they good areas? Any opinions are welcomed. Thank you very much in advanceHi, we are a family with young kids. We are thinking of relocating to rugby for its good rail link to London.
