Joe marler prop or not !????????!!!!!!1?

joe marler is wanna my favouite props however i was just wondering because he only weighs 17stone 12pounds is tht too light for a modern day prop

No, not too light at all. It isn't always about weight, strength and technique are major factors too.

I'd say it is clear that playing as first-choice prop for Harlequins and then as a member of the England squad means that he is *not* too light. Did you see the winning try he scored against Leicester? Awesome team performance, but Marler was the lad who pushed it over and touched down. Playing prop is not at all just about weight, or even size. Front-row work is extremely technical, and skill plus strength will overcome size alone time after time. But keep in mind two things: 114 kg (which is what I make that weight to be), is not a small man. And although his weight is not extraordinarily great compared to some other props, Marler is in fantastic condition, and so not toting around a lot of excess mass (like, say Martin Castrogiovanni; for whom I also have great regards - but he is a little chubby, eh?) Certainly at any level below Elite, a talented prop weighing 114 kg would be welcome everywhere in the world, and Marler's professional performance shows it is entirely acceptable at Elite-level, too.
