So my dad wants me to play rugby union for a club, I've been playing there for two years now and I want a years break. I've played club and school rugby for the past two years and I just want to play school rugby this year. My dad doesn't want that because school rugby doesn't teach me anything but I just want to play for fun, not seriously. Today is sign on for club and I said I didn't want to play club and he got pissed off and threatened to not let me play school rugby and take away my electronics (Xbox, iPad, etc). I want to make my own decisions and just play school rugby, but he stands strongly on his decision, but so do I. So my question is, how do I convince my dad just let me play school rugby? I'm 15 and I want to make my own decisions, he's being unreasonable in my opinion. Just tell him I personally would never give up rugby of my life depended on it. Just say: Dad I don't wanna play rugby for this year but I promise I'll start back up next year.
