Rugby for girls? help?

Posted at: 2014-07-08
Im going into high school next year and I want to try out for Rugby.. Im one of those skinny girls, BUT as much as people think skinny girls have no chance. I am actually really tough but since Im skinny nobody thinks i can do it. Also I am pretty fast. So is there any tips or tricks i can do to make myself stronger maybe so if i had just a shirt on i would have muscles and people dont diss me about it they actually go wow you can get on that team no problem.Im going into high school next year and I want to try out for Rugby.. First, it doesn't matter what size you are to play rugby! second if you're really fast then you can be a back, if you think you a little strong and you're short and flexible you can be a hooker rugby is a contact sport that involves a lot of running therefore you have to be fit you have to workout on your own time and get ready to be injured! lol go for some runs when you have time workout and stay fit. If you really want to play rugby then you can do it and don't forget be commited!!!!!!

Ask your coach. Your last sentence makes no sense.

Go for it! I play rugby and im not the biggest and its super duper fun!

Iago is right. The coach knows what he's looking for in an athlete, and he's the one you need to impress, so asking him is a smart idea. Also, reread that last sentence of yours...Good Luck Playing Rugby!
