Precedes means to come before, so for the ITM Cup, the Super Rugby precedes this as it starts in Feburary and ends in June plus in June there is the winter tests when nation from the UK and Europe tour NZ, South Africa, Australia and some Pacific nations. The ITM Cup starts in September and will finish this week when Wellington play Canterbury in the final
