Think about what might constitute "success." You might want to consider a range of things: Attendance at matches; balance sheets for the provincial unions [and what the range of those balance sheets might mean - is success amongst the Usual Suspects what matters, or does how Otago managed this year compared to last mean something, too?), injuries, disciplinary issues, ... Supposing you don't really want to (or need to) try to cover all that and more, then maybe focus on one or two. Compare-and-contrast approaches are both traditional and often illuminating. E.g. (and I am making this up!): This year's ITM Cup competition was a brilliant success for (Province X) on the pitch, but came at a difficult price in terms of the team's finances..." Now, think through how you want to proceed, and then do some research. Make an outline to cover the essay form, and start writing. Be sure to edit, including spell checking (including for homophones like "here" and "hear" or "two", "to" and "too. none of which will be trapped by your spell-checker).
