This is my first time playing rugby and I would like to know which position is safer, left wing or right wing?

Both are safe. The wingers rarely get the ball as the other players try to score without passing it out. Watch England for example or any of the home nations.

they are both basically the same

If you are worrying about not getting hurt, don't play rugby.

i have been playing in the position of hooker for 7 years now and i can honestly say the most unsafe positions on the field is in the front row (props &hooker) and the rest of the forwards are slightly safe. it is no lie that you are going to get hurt at least once. tbh any back position will have roughly the same chance of getting hurt but it depends how sensible you are and how involved you are going to be in the game. But the thrill of scoring for you team is no nothing like anything else you will feeling any other sport.

It's exactly the same.

i dont think rugby is a suitable sport for birds, works best with arms
