Get boots with big studs. That can grip into the ground so he can stay secure in the scrum. If his a hooker he has to run a lot so get some Boots he feels comfortable in

im 16 with size 4 feet I have adiddas soccer cleats I play flanker but have also played 8 man the centers and wing they work well in all positions I have no trouble with grip and can easily clear 2 people twice my size off a ruck by myself just look for a good pair of soccer cleats they will be fine
