Whats your opinion on super league? (england)?

What is your honest opinion on the English Super League? do you agree with the rules? if not what should be changed? sum up what you think of the league and what should be changed?

The problem with League is that it is too one-dimensional. A dumbed-down version of real rugby. No mauls, no lineouts, no contest for the ball, and your offensive options are pretty much summed up as four charges up the middle, an outside pass and a kick. Pretty tough to sit through for an entire eighty minutes. Frankly, (and as you have probably gathered) what I think what should be changed about the League clubs is that they should just start playing Union. Short of that, at least go back to contested scrums. Those things which League calls a scrum at the moment are just embarrassing.

Super league and the NRL have both gone down the same path to the detriment of the game. England did start it with the move to 4 tackle football and it just got worse. Players can't compete for the ball in the tackle, the play the ball was a means of competing with many players adept at winning possession there. Scrums were always a blight but there were wins against the feed which made up for that. So often all the game is is five hitups and a kick. It can get very repetitive and boring. Stars like Marshall, Barba, Thurston and Slater can make it worthwhile. Make the game cpmpetitive again would be a great start. The continuity in union is what makes the game great. Players also compete at all stages of the game: ruck, maul, scrum, lineout, players can steal possession. Continuity allows a team to set themselves to get their backs moving. Something I haven't seen in league since 1966. (I played league under all three formats, unlimited tackle, 4 tackle and 6 tackle but rugby was always my favourite.)
