Would you say that the scrum half position is the quarterback of rugby?

Its his decision of gameplay. I watch both Rugby and Football not soccer.

I'd say the flyhalf is more like the QB, but it's a hard call to make - a QB is more like a combination of both 9 and 10 - the 9 generally directs the forwards and the 10 directs the backs, a QB does both. Bear in mind too that a rugby team has 15 guys to direct, a football team only 11 - so it can be handled more easily by one man.

Definitely not, the fly half decides what the team is going to do, thats why flyhalves or outsidehalves are described as the the thinkers and playmakers

I would think that a scrum half is like a quaterback. The reason why I say this is because as I play scrum half, I know what it is like. Both versions have to have an extremly good pass and at the same time be able to quickly change their mind to do a dummy pass and run themselves.

No -- the role of managing the attacking game is split into two different positions -- scrumhalf and flyhalf.

Scrumhalf and flyhalf are both similar to the quarterback, but I think that flyhalf is closer. The flyhalf calls back plays, tells the forwards what to do, and handles the ball while the defense is rushing at them. The scrumhalf is more like a centre in foottball, they set up the play and pass the ball off the players who make plays happen (ie. flyhalf)

No. Outhalf determines the play.

yes, it is similar because you are the one that receives the ball and your the one that passes the ball when there is a ruck formed.
