Am I small for a prop?

I am 14 5'5/6 and weigh 83 kg some props I play against look more like back-row forwards than props but a couple look at least 95 kg and 6ft. P.S. I do not struggle to tackle, carry or win scrums I just want to know if I am small.I am 14 5'5/6 and weigh 83 kg some props I play against look more like back-row forwards than props but a couple look at least 95 kg and 6ft. You would be very small for a professional prop - BUT: You are only 14. If the heaviest props you play against are 95 kg, then if you are fit and have good mechanics, you should be able to play well against them. In some respects, your height may be an actual advantage, because tall men/boys often have difficulty getting their center-of-gravity low enough to take advantage of their full size. Just keep working on good mechanics - rugby, especially in t he front row, is a *very* technical endeavor - and conditioning. In a few years, your likely adult stature will be clearer, and your coaches may elect to try you at some other positions. - maybe move over to hooker, or at loose forward or scrum half. Hard to say. But right now, your size should not be an impediment to learning about how to play prop. Mark L.

well from one prop to another no in my opinion you are not to small to be a prop your height is good and your weight could be better but in the end it always comes down to your technique to win the scrum. but then again I am 6 foot 4 inches tall and weigh 240 lbs but I think you should do fine as a prop I have played with props your size when I was in high school and they were great so my opinion is your doing fine if what you are saying is true (ex. you win the scrums)

Not in height I don't think, but maybe in mass.
