Get used to carrying the ball with two hands, it gives you more options for offloads. Also it's harder to rip a ball from two hands when going into contact.
depends where the opposite player is coming from. If from the left, tuck the ball in your right arm which leaves your left open to fend, break tackles or help with the side step as well as communication and vice versa for the other side

If you're going in to contact - two hands, if you're running down the wing hold it with the nearest hand to the touchline
If you're going into contact wrap both arms round the ball. It's easy to rip out the ball if the player is carrying in one arm.
Tuck it under your arm so to can fend off tacklers with your free arm.
