It's a good opportunity to play for a district or county side as it builds experience and improves you as a player all round. but the thing to bare in mind is that in britain its only around 6-7% of all people who play district or county level rugby in a youth set up go on to make it as a professional and advance their career. so its up to you to decide if you wanna carry on laying with your mates or improve yourself and try to get noticed.
District is used as a selection scheme type thing so if you hope to go far in rugby then district would be a good idea... If not stay committed to your club
