Rugby how to progress to more advanced rugby?

hey everybody im training with a team and im quite good but how do i progress to playing for my county?

Hey mate, I have played for County Durham from U17's-U21's the way i got into trials was via my coaches put me in for it. Each club is allowed to nominate so many players to go forward for trials, for example my club Durham City put forward 6 players. After you have been selected you have to attend training sessions which determine who is the fittest, strongest, most skillful and determined. At U21's there were loads of lads put forward and they have to choose a squad of 24, so you need to make sure you train hard and make yourself stand out, definitely cant go into it half arsed!! Basically mate just talk to your coaches about it, be proactive, they will most likely respect you for it. At County games regional, national and Professional scouts watch the games and select players from that, so if you make it in the squad then always assume they are watching, even if they aren't then the information will most likely find its way to them. Hope this helps bro good luck!

Idk how county rugby is run. Go ask the staff if they have trials or invite them to one of your games

Fundamentals all the time. Getting a feel for the simple things signals that you're ready for the slightly more challenging. Just move little by little and eventually you'll have it. You could even learn from observation just watch anyone who is skilled at your position and try to learn from them. Or you can learn from... YOURSELF!! just watch yourself on video check out your errors, write them down on something you see everyday (ex. mirror, fridge, computer) and work on them. Eventually you'll be pretty amazing.
