Should i start Rugby League?

I'm almost 16, 96 kgs and around 6"0 and not very fit although i am quite agile for my size. I would like to know if it would be a good idea to start a team sport. Or a better idea to get fit before staring? I know how to play league but am not familiar with how the positions work on field, because i have no past experience with structured club sport. Maybe, if you like, you should start Rugby Union. You have the qualities to be a loose head prop maybe or a hooker. You should start going to jog and lose some weight, i am not talking about 20 kg, maybe with 5 kg its ok. You should be able to run and run. After you have lost some weight, then start going to the gym to lose body fat percentage.

Probably prop basically you are a cross between a battering ram and a barricade in attack you are the battering ram as you carry the ball into the defensive line to make meters so do not stop pumping your legs and hold on the ball very tightly. In defense focus on tackling other forwards try to drive them backwards so get close to the tackle.
