What is B-Side rugby?

Posted at: 2014-07-08
I just started doing anything ever with rugby 4 practices ago and the coaches said I had a smooth transition from football and soccer to rugbt so I shouldnt have a problem playing. I liked that and I started to practice harder and better. The teams 6th game, and my 1st game, is tomorrow and the roster just came out today. Theres the starting team and then the 6 reserve teams and then theres a "B-Side" team to which I will be playing inside centre. What is the B-side team and what should I be expecting for this game? Im a noob but I dont want to ask my teammates b/c theyre well exoerienced and I would seem like a complete fool. Thanks.I just started doing anything ever with rugby 4 practices ago and the coaches said I had a smooth transition from football and soccer to rugbt so I shouldnt have a problem playing. Rugby clubs often have all sorts of names for the different sides . You'll get the 1st team. That's the best team with the best players. Then you might have the A team, then the Extra As and other names to avoid the team actually being named the 5ths. Your B side is just one of the lower sides. As you've just started you're doing OK. When you say the 6 reserve teams are you syre it's not the 6 reserves for the starting team.
