What position should I play in Women's Rugby?

I'm 17, 5'8, and 190 lbs. I'm not really that fast, but I can move pretty well. I have ok endurance and great ball handling skills.

second row.

With your size and skills I'd say go for flanker (6,7) You don't have to be real fast although it would be an advantage. Of course you'll need plenty of endurance as with all positions. And great ball handling skills is a definite requirement. What does this position do? This is a loose forward position. There are two of these positions in a team. In a scrum they're the two on each side binding onto the second rows. These two players are on the edge of the scrum and can easily break away from it when the ball is released. (hence the term loose forward. The other being no.8) They are also involved with stealing the ball in rucks and mauls and like every other forward, slowing the ball down .(if necessary) If you do take this position up then I'd advise you to be familiar with the rules at the breakdown. This position is known very well for being on the edge of the rules. Here are a few names you can look up if you're interested. Watch them carefully! Richie Mccaw (NZ) David Pocock (AUS) Jerome Kaino (NZ) Schalk Burger (SA) Heinrich Brussow (SA) Michael Hooper (AUS) Liam Gill (AUS) Scott Higginbottom (AUS) George Smith (AUS) Adam Thomson (NZ) Sorry I couldn't give you any female players. If you do well I could probably be giving your name to a 17yrs, 5'8 and 190 lbs lady in the future. Good luck.
