Being a prop for the first time can be very intimidating! It takes practice to be comfortable with it. Scrum: make sure you always keep your head up, to the left, and your shoulders out. Back straight and knees bent. Some coaches might disagree but a little trick I learned when binding with your hooker is to keep your binding arm bent for more strength! I find it easier if you get under the other prop on engage, lift her up a bit. That makes it much easier to drive. The more muscle the better, the tougher the better, the stronger the better, the more intimidating the better! If you manage to get the ball, stabalise the scrum so the ball travels well through the scrum and appears at the rear for the scrum-half to pick upIf they manage to get the ball, de-stabalise the scrum so they can`t easily control the ball. You may even so so well you push them off the ball and you get it back. Your legs, exercise them as much as you can! Legs are key.Drink lots of water to avoid muscle spasms
