Since you are looking at the NRL, I would only give who I think the best Australian ruby player is. The best I have seen was Mark Ella. Best Australian rugby league player, toss up between Wally lewis and Graeme Lanlands. They both played before the NRL started in the 90s so if it is just an NRL player, Jonathon Thurston.
