I'm 15 I've been playing for two years, I'm well built 5'8 but very broad. I'm quite strong and I just don't understand every time I go in for a tackle I just don't as if I'm scared to get hurt when I'm not I just don't understand? I'm quite quick and powerful on the ball which is why I'm in the team but tackling wise I let my team down for sure, any tips? I am exactly like you bro! I have been Along for two years and I just cannot tackle people. They just seem to get out of my grip, or just side step. When I have the ball I am like a tank, handing people off, bashing them, long passes, quick with the ball. I just cannot tackle. I have spoken to my dad and he said that I am too scared or I was not moving. I am a bit afraid not so much now but a bit, but I just cannot tackle. People just make it look so easy. I wish us both good luck in the future, Brandon.

A lot of people are like this, even the big boys. Best way to solve it - at practices or matches, try and make as many tackles as you can even if its not your man. You might be scared but just do it. That way it will just become a habit and you won't be scared. If you really are scared of a guy running at you, tackle really low, as low as you can go.
