Can I wear plastic blades in rugby?

Hey guys I'm from derby in the English midlands where rugby is really big. Another season another pair of boots, so I was wondering can you wear PLASTIC blades in rugby. I'm a back so I will not be needing metal blades but my only concern will the refs not let me play if I wear soccer boots. I have been looking around on the internet and found arguments from both sides but not a certain answer. Do you think I could get away playing with these boots? http://www.prodirectrugby.com/prodinfo.asp?PID=PDR-002-009-F86&DEPT=2&BRAND=9&SS=1&PROFILE=SpeedHey guys I'm from derby in the English midlands where rugby is really big. From the IRB site: Law 4.3 (b) "Moulded rubber multi-studded soles are acceptable provided they have no sharp edges or ridges." So yes, so long as they are in good condition without any sharp or abrasive edges, then yes -- plastic blades are legal. Many backs (particularly wingers) will use them in preference to rugby boots on a hard, dry pitch.

I'm gonna gess that by blades u mean the spikes I play rugby in ontario Canada it's not real big but to my school it is we have to wear soccer cleats because we are not allowed metal cleats so we don't wear rugby cleats we wear soccer ones I wear Adidas soccer cleats with triangle spikes I usually play back they are light but even have foot grip for when I play flanker in the scrum

yes, you can.
