Did the Aussies invent the ball up the jumper move ?

My mate reckons the Aussies invented this move back in the 70's before it was banned -- is it true ?

I don't know if it was around before then or not but you are right that it was banned after the Sydney v Country rugby game with Country winning the game in the dying moments with the ball up the jumper. Another country move was the flying wedge, also banned (banned in rugby league as well) and the move which saw the winger run over the top of a scrum to score. They were inventive, if nothing else, the country lads.
