How can I get myself pumped up for a rugby match?

A lot of times when I get up for a rugby game I find that I'm not really motivated, pumped up or ready for it, any ideas of how to help?

I play Rugby myself and normally I have a match at 12:30pm on a cold Sunday and I have to wake up a bit early and I'm tired, you know what I mean, so what to do is have a big high protein breakfast a bought an hour before KO and listed to your gym tracks meaning motivating music eg : Fort Minor - Remember The Name. Hope this helped P.S: Don't drink red bull before a match as you will just end up pulling a muscle, trust me on this, Ive been their done that and its a stupid idea. just take my advice and you should be alright. I play rugby and i get into a changing room with the rest of players, we chant our name, stamp our boots, hit each others shoulders, anything that will get each other angry. That usually works, and i drink powerade but not too much.

Used to play Rugby a very high level til I got injured and I never really got pumped for a match, thats just the way I'am. I used to just focus on what I had to do in the match. I played full-back, and before the match I used to tell myself that I have to Catch every ball, make every tackle and find touch with every kick. It worked really well for me anyways, hope it a can do the same for you!
