Do you think rugby players will ever wear helmets?

Do you think. The irb will introduce helmets one day

No. They are too dangerous. Take a look at footage from an American gridiron game and see how those helmets are used as weapons. That -- along with the head-to-head collisions the helmets make possible -- go a long way to explaining the horrific problems the American game is suffering from concussion injuries among active players and early-onset dementia in retired professionals..

I think it would have been so

Nope

No u couldent wear a helmet playing rugby some people wear scrum caps but they don't offer protection over concussion only against lacerations Don't listen to the person that said only girls wear helmets cuz we don't we play with only a mouth gard

No chance. Far to dangerous when looking at rucks and mauls in particular.

The rules of rugby union make it impossible for players to wear helmets. Can you imagine the serious injuries players would get by tackling opponents with helmets ? And what about scrums and mauls - how could players compete in those areas wearing helmets ? Can I ask you - are you familiar with the rules and tactics of rugby union in the first place ? Your idea of helmets would not prevent serious injuries but create them. I think leather head gear, chest pads, mouth-guards, and groin protectors worn by players is sufficient enough in rugby for player safety.

Maybe. The world's becoming more and more health and safety mad.

No. Only girls wear helmets.
