Your job as flanker right after the scrum is to attack the fly half (10), with full pace charge at him and try and intimidate their back line so they pass badly to each other but if you are tackling follow these steps: 1. Forget about getting hurt just play like your 6'10 2. Get low at the legs 3. Grab a leg 4. Do tiny steps and push him back If you are scared of getting hit them maybe buy a scrum cap it might help your mental strength!

Improve cardio, tackling and positional awareness and you will be great. I play second row but have played on the flank also.

Keep a low center of gravity when entering a tackle or a ruck. In a tackle you want to be dominant and attack the ball. Make sure you get you feet in good position (close to the opponent) hit hard with your shoulders and get a lift on his legs to unbalance him. Once on the ground release him and get to your feet asap and attack the ball. This is what makes good flankers great. Their ability to hold their feet and steal the ball.

right off the scrum break go for the guy with ball but like our positian says "flanker"
