George North? No sorry not for me, hes definatly good but not the best yet. The best welshmen wud be between Lydiate, Warburton or possibly john davis. Lydiate and Warburton or total beasts in defence and do so much defencive work, rucking and tackling. Davis is a KEY component on most of wales tries he makes the breaks when he has to, he passes when he has to and he runs straight when he has to. To be honest as a scot it kills me to say this but wales have a VERY high quality selection of players at the moment, forwards and backs. In my opinion the only welsh players im not extreamly inpressed by is Preisland and Phillips. For me Phillips is far to slow getting the ball out of a ruck and runs with the ball far too much, dont get me wrong he is capable of running but its just not sumthing scrums shud do as much as he does. If a scrum half gets tackled, then it slow the whole team down because noone is there to pick the ball from the ruck and players can sumtimes get confused. And Preisland is good for the scarlets but not quite wales material for me. Personally i think Mathew Morgan shud be playing for wales as no. 10 he wud be amazing.
In the backs, George North has made a similar impact on international rugby as Jonah Lomu did when he started. He's big and he's fast and he always makes a lot of meters when he gets the ball. In the backs, Warburton isn't on the best of form but he was a hero in the world cup and once he gets back playing like that, he makes a big difference to the team. We've got some great flankers at the moment in Lydiate, Tupiric and Shingler. My favourite player is Samson Lee, the 19 year old Gypsy prop, who is going to be a big star in the future.
