Many moons ago there was an FA Cup type competition called the Amco Cup. It was a mid week competition. This involved the NSWRL teams, Brisbane, NSW country group teams and Queensland country groups. Western Division (country NSW) won the inaugural Cup. It did last in one form or another for 15 years. Still, you'd probably get more answers if you posted this in the rugby league section.

no the NSW, QLD cup teams would get destroyed there-by providing little reason to watch. the NSW and QLD cup competitions are the perfect opportunity for young players to show how good they are they would look terrible playing for a B team against todays superstars.

No beacause the NSW and QLD teams are the B team to the NRL Teams, and the young players have their own competition, the NYC under 20s comp.
