I feel like my teammates don't respect me?

At my rugby club, it's like my teammates don't respect me. A lot of them give me a lot of S***, but I don't know why. I've never said anything bad to them, it's like they're trying to drive me away. I've been there longer than them, so I assure you, theres no chance of me walking away. It may be because I'm not one of the 'popular' people in school, and they think I'm in the wrong in playing the sport I love. It's not all of them, just the so called 'popular' ones. I get along well with some of the lads, but like i've said, it's the ones who are more 'popular' than me. Have they got a problem with a person not as popular as them doing what they love or something? At my rugby club, it's like my teammates don't respect me. They sound like immature, adolescent snots. All you can do is stick with your program. Do the hard yards. Play with skill and commitment. Be a good teammate. Do your best to play with honor and courage, including in your training and in all dealings with your team. Then let the world turn. One of the things that makes rugby a great game is that honor and commitment count. "Popularity" off the pitch has nothing whatsoever to do with performance on the pitch. Hang in there, and enjoy the game. Mark L.
