Players as in Rugby or sports in general? For in general: i suppose its natural of all men to have a competitive edge in their DNA, some more than others. For rugby, there is no feeling like putting on that jersey then running out onto the field representing your town/county/country/club. To have 12/14 other players on that field and trusting in them to do their job, not even soccer could parallel the pride that rugby players have and the sacrifices and putting their body on the line for a 80 minute game.
