By far yes, also in NZ &Australia * some may mix number of register players with popularity or success they're wrong, if that was the case soccer would have been #1 sport in USA, and we all know it's the 5th or 6th most popular sport in USA

yes by far the national rugby team have won 2 world cups while the soccer team are sh*t.the cricket team are okay but not as good as the boks

yeah its a religion over there

As far as I am aware, South Africa has the highest number of registered rugby players in the world, followed closely by England. This does not make them great, necessarily, but it is wonderful for the sport. They are number 2 in the IRB ratings, after New Zealand I have also been told that New Zealand has a population of 20 million, of which 16 million are sheep, and the remainder are rugby fanatics. Rugby Union in Australia is probably the fourth rated sport, after Cricket, Aussie Rules, and Rugby League. Still, they are extremely good at it, and are 3rd in the IRB rankings.

I would have thought that soccer was bigger in SA

Cricket
