New rugby position tomorrow possibly?

I have played rugby for 3 years and I played flanker my first 2 and moved to winger this year but tomorrow I might have to play scrum half and have never played it before. What do I do on scrums and line outs and stuff. I know how to kick and punt and all the penalty stuff and I know I'll probably have to quarter back the team on defense a little. I've just never played it before and was looking for some pointers.I have played rugby for 3 years and I played flanker my first 2 and moved to winger this year but tomorrow I might have to play scrum half and have never played it before. scrums - feed the ball to the hooker on a slight angle to make sure he hooks it back. get it out and either run or pass chestlevel to your flyhalf. lineouts - you don't join the line out but wait between the backline and the lineout waiting for the ball from your locks. On defense I suggest you look up former All Black Jimmy Cowan. He was one of the best defensive halfbacks and was known for his covering tackles. So I suggest on defence you chase everyone and try and bring down players that bust the line. Just play accurate and give your flyhalf good, fast, accurate ball that gives him time. Stick to the basics and you'll do fine. Good luck!

As it's your first game just concentrate on getting good quick ball to your fly-half. If if the ball doesn't come back clean take it on yourself and look to your back row for support. You'll enjoy it. You get so much more ball at scrum half you can't help but be more involved in the game.

Hears a question I answered a while ago, it got chosen as best answer so I hope it will help you with some tips.
