Outside centre wanting to play flanker?

I am 16 years old and currently playing outside centre for my club team and college, I've recently been looking at flanker (open or blind) and was wondering if the transition wouldn't be too dificult. I'm currently 6ft/6"1 and 78kg, i can run farily well and have decent ball handling skills also not too bad at tackling.I am 16 years old and currently playing outside centre for my club team and college, I've recently been looking at flanker (open or blind) and was wondering if the transition wouldn't be too dificult. The transition shouldn't be too difficult. The requirements of the 2 positions are pretty interchangeable. However, you'll have to concentrate on the tackling. "Not too bad" isn't good enough at flanker. You also have to win the ball at the breakdown and link more in open play. There's a lot more to the forward roles than most people realise.

You should do well but only if off of the scrums your quick on the ball if the opposition are playing it off of the backs plus you have to be a good tackler if your a flanker but if you can handle these then yes you could be a flanker plus you have to have good fitness
