Is strategy in rugby as important as in other sports?

is strategy in rugby as important as in other sports (like in basketball or soccer) or it's just strength

Are you missing something? Seeing the strategy on a field is part of the fun of watching the game. Otherwise it would just be a push and shove game - and you can look to canadian hockey for that.

Of course strategy is important rugby. It comes at several levels. Basic ones, like do we play a power game or a running game, to the complex, preplanned dummies and running lines which come off of a set-piece lineout or scrum. The issue is that -- unless you are familiar with the game -- the patterns and strategies used by a rugby side can be difficult to spot. But that is equally true of any other sport.
