So im signing up for a U16 rugby team. Im going from soccer to rugby. I know they're quite a bit different, but I was wondering if someone could maybe give me a list of what equipment ill need? Soccer boots are fine to get started. There are some positions where (if you continue to play) you might want to get more specialized footware, but for now you are fine. The only other piece of equipment you need to bring (other than shorts and Tshirt) is a gumshield.

Soccer boots are fine to start of, rugby boots just have deeper rounded studs to grip to the ground when pushing... All you really need besides that are mouthguard, the rest is just a uniform; rugby shirt, shorts, socks. All other equipment such as head gear and shoulder protection is your choice.
