It takes the various muscle groups a minimum of 48 hours to recover from any sort of intesive training. Nothing today with the possible exception of a very light flush. Perhaps some stretching, or a very light swim or jog. Nothing else.

Honestly I'd leave the weights alone tonight, allow you body a chance to be at it's best. Remember when you work out you create small tares in the muscles which need time to heal, it's the healing time that adds the mass/definition. Tonight I'd grab a long bath and an early night.

BLM has it right....best idea....eat well....rest well....rise early(ish) and get the mind active as well as preparing the body...a fit body works best with an alert head on the paddock

blm got it nailed. exactly what i do a light swim or jog with carbs for dinner sets u up nicely. also morning before the game have some fruit, protein and carbs and a glass of water. its what i do every sunday and i can definitly feel the difference when i dont.

I wouldn't train the day before a game. You want to make sure all your energy systems are completely replenished before a game so you can give the best performance possible. It usually takes a day (or sometimes longer) to do this effectively, so I'd just rest up... don't worry you'll be absolutely spent this time tomorrow after your game so you're not losing anything by having a day off.
