I am currently 17 and have just found rugby this year and love it more than any sport i have tried, is it too late for me to be able to play rugby at a club level?

If you're intent is to simply join an amateur club and enjoy the game, then there is no age "limit". Come out and have fun. If you want to play to a higher (ie professional) level then it is a little late to get started. That said, it has been done. Thierry Dusautoir, a former French captain, didn't take the game up until about the same age.
