What are the best boots for a prop?

I'm taking my rugby more seriously this year and want to upgrade my boots so i wanted to know what boots are best, thanks.

Any pair of eight-studded boots from a reputable manufacturer. Hard toe or soft, depending upon your preference (I went with hard as I got tired of losing a toenail or two each season). But all the brands and models from decent makers (Addidas, Nike, etc) are pretty much the same. What you do need is to made sure that they fit right. No two pair of boots fit the same feet the same way -- make sure that you take your time and get the staff to assist you in making sure that the fit is right. If you do that, nothing much can go wrong.

Im a tight head prop an i used to have this problem!!! dont bother with nike, addidas and other boots designed for speed you need a decent pair of 8 studded kooga boots!!! i also think its worth mentioning to use hard toe caps because in the scrum people will stand on your feet and you could let down a scrum if you react to the pain!! :) i got hell for that last season!!

Eight studs are a priority, as you need as much grip as possible during scrums and while rucking. I would recommend these Adidas adipower Regulate Kakari, they're a new line of boots designed for rugby by Adidas. They are also well priced, and come in white or black. The screw-in studs are also good as you can change the stud lengths depending on weather conditions. Good Luck!
