What is an inside pass in rugby?

when im playing rugby, people will call me to pass 'inside', what does that mean

An inside pass is a pass which moves the ball "inwards" towards the centre of the pitch (or towards the most recent breakdown), rather than to the outside. It's a bit of a variation, because an attacking ball is generally going to go towards the touch line.

An inside pass is a pass made going towards the centre of the pitch or the breakdown, therefore an outside pass is the opposite; away from the centre to the wings or away from a breakdown
