What sport for me, rugby or american football?

Posted at: 2014-07-08
im 106 pounds, 13, 5'2, can run 70 meters in 10.42 seconds, i can run 800 in 3:50, i can do 4 meters in running long jump

There's actually no need to choose. In Canada, our version of gridiron is an autumn sport, while youth rugby is a spring summer sport. I know many high school students who do both.

106 pounds and 5'2? Neither

Some of the comments im reading wtf?!?! Rugby and american footy arnt to do with size Ive seen huge 6'10" locks (Rugby) and ive seen 5'4" Running backs (American Football) Doesn't matter how big you are... Or how fast you are... Choose which one your prefer and if you keep practicing at it youll be great (I prefer Rugby) The world nowadays gets far to caught up in size and speed, great athletes are always the clever ones who practice their heart outs (Not the mindless idiots punch a hole in a brick wall)

Try both and either play what you prefer or what you're best at. Theres no law saying if you're this sort of person you have to play this sport. Face facts, you're most likely not going to be a pro so play what you enjoy

Depends, do you prefer rugby or american football? I don't see what size or jumping has to do with preference.

I've never played football before so I can't judge on that part. But if your just getting into rugby there is a spot on the field for every body type. Judging by your specs, you would most likely be put in the backs especially if you fast

Rugby, Rugby players are normally smaller.

RUGGA!!!

If you ask it here it will be rugby. If you ask it in American football, then it will be American football.

You have to consider safety when choosing between these two. You dont want to end up hurting yourself. Out of these two, you seem to fit american football. At least, you get like a bunch of this equipment that protects your body. I would prefer that, but it's basically your choice. you know? :)
